TR3000 USB tethering function setting guide

TR3000 firmware version 2.3.7 has added support for USB Tethering function, which allows you to share the network by connecting a mobile phone or a portable Wi-Fi device via a USB data cable. The following describes how to set it up.

1. Router settings
After TR3000 is upgraded to 2.3.7 firmware, the USB Tethering function is enabled by default. No settings are required, plug and play.

2. Mobile phone settings
- For Android phones,

a. Take Samsung phones as an example, open "Settings"--"Connections"--"Mobile Hotspot and Tethering", and enable the "Mobile hotspot" function and the "USB tethering" function respectively. As shown in the figure below.

b. Take Xiaomi phones as an example, open "Settings"--"Portable hotspot", and enable the "Portable hotspot" function and the "USB tethering" function respectively. As shown in the figure below.

- For iPhone, open Settings and enable the Personal Hotspot function; (When connecting for the first time, the iPhone needs to enter the lock screen password to allow the router to share the network)

The router will automatically identify and connect to the Internet. After the connection is successful, the status is also as shown in the figure below. The settings are complete and the network is successfully connected.

Note: If the TR3000 does not correctly identify your mobile phone or portable WiFi router after you have set it up properly, it is likely that you are using a long or poor quality USB cable, such as a USB 2.0 cable. We recommend that you try replacing it with a better quality and shorter USB 3.0 cable.
