Select Mesh Backhaul
Satellite Mesh devices can be configured to operate only in wired backhaul mode
This helps prevent possible loops: when multiple Cudy APs are powered by a PoE switch, and the PoE switch is powered off and on, some APs may establish wireless backhaul and provides network from the LAN port, causing loop similar as such topology switch1 -- AP1 ))(( AP2 -- switch1

Configuring an access point via DHCP is not a good idea, it’s best to assign a static IP address outside the main server’s DHCP range.
In my opinion
The problem setting up the M3000 as an access point and experiencing issues might be due to the main router’s configuration. There’s no problem with Dnsmasq, but other DHCP servers may cause problems.
Dnsmasq accepts delegating an address within the range offered by DHCP; other DHCP servers do not.
255.255.255.0
Router 192.168.10.1
DHCP 192.168.10.10/240
Configure the AP’s IP address to 192.168.10.2
This would be a good configuration.
Hi, the protocol with my ISP is DHCP, the router is configured for Slaac/dhcpv6 and the devices on the LAN are getting prefix::123, but it seems that only DHCPv6 is working on the LAN.
@Dear Javier,
What is the IPV6 connection protocol you set on the router. In addition, what is the WAN onnection protocol? PPPoE or DHCP?
“Hi, Firmware 2.5, Android devices do not receive an IPv6 address, Slaac does not work on LAN”
@Dear Javier,
Some customers feedback that there is something wrong when the main mesh M3000 is working in Mesh Access Point mode. So if you set the M3000 to Mesh wireless router mode. It is Ok to update the 2.5.0. If you set the M3000 to Mesh Access Point mode. Please do not update the 2.5.0.
