Cudy is committed to full compliance with the requirements of the EU Data Act (EU Regulation 2023/2854 Harmonized rules on fair access to and use of data ).

In accordance with the EU Data Act, we act as the data holder for the connected products listed below.
  1. Overview of Connected Products

The EU Data Act applies to certain hardware products and related services controlling such products, which are defined under the Act as “connected products” and “related services.”
Cudy provides the following connected products:
  • Wi-Fi Routers
  • 4G/5G Routers
  • Wi-Fi Extenders
  • Access Point
These connected products generate and process data during their operation, as outlined below.

  1. Data Access, Deletion, and Portability

Cudy provides users with free access to the data generated during the use of connected products and related services:
  • Users are able to view the data generated by their devices via the Cudy application or web interface
  • Users are able to delete the device-stored data via the web interface
  • Users are able to transfer device-stored data via the web interface to a selected third party in a commonly used format.
  1. Compliance with Data Requests

In cases of emergency or for the performance of legitimate public tasks (e.g., natural disasters, public safety, pandemics), Cudy will respond to lawful data access requests from public authorities in accordance with the EU Data Act. Such requests will be strictly purpose-limited and follow the principle of data minimization.
  1. Interoperability

Cudy ensures that data recipients can process data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, in compliance with the interoperability requirements of the EU Data Act.
