Hi there,

I purchased the Cudy AX3000 router to use as WireGuard VPN Server that I can connect to when I’m away.
Once configured as WireGuard VPN server, I will connect it to my friend’s ISP router and leave it there so he can keep an eye on it when I’m away. I will use the config file that you can download to setup the client on my laptop so I can route all my laptop traffic to my friends house/internet and I will appear as if I’m at his location.

My question is, is this possible with the Cudy AX3000 router and if yes, what other settings do I need to enable/configure so I can always connect to the router when I’m away and make sure connection is always up?

For now I suggest you to set up wireguard VPN server. It will work and have far more powerful performace. We will also fix it in next firmware. If you need beta firmware to fix the OpenVPN server issue. Please tell me.
