Dear WR3000 User,
We’re excited to invite you to try out our new Ad Block feature, now available in Beta for WR3000 routers! This feature is designed to improve your browsing experience by blocking intrusive ads across websites and some mobile apps—right at the network level.
What is the Ad Block Feature?
The Ad Block feature works directly through your WR3000 router, helping to:
- Block most web ads (banners, pop-ups, video ads, etc.)
Improve page loading speed
- Reduce distractions while browsing
- Minimize tracking from ad networks
No need to install browser extensions or mobile apps — it works across all devices connected to your home network.
How to Try It
- Download the Beta Firmware Get the latest Beta firmware for your WR3000 router here: WR3000 Beta Firmware
- Upgrade Your Router Log in to the WR3000 web interface and navigate to Advanced Settings > Firmware to upgrade your firmware.

- Enable Ad Block
Once the firmware is updated, navigate to Advanced Settings > Custom DNS. Under DNS Settings, select AD Block.
You can choose between two modes:
- Standard Mode – Blocks most ads across websites and apps.
- Family Mode – Includes all the features of Standard Mode, with additional filtering for adult content to help protect younger users.
You can revert the DNS Settings to "Default" anytime if Ad Block impacts your browsing.

This feature may not perform as expected in China/Iran/Russia.
