Sorry to tell you that there is no firmware of WR1500 that supports OpenVPN. We have plan to add it in future.

For now, the Wireguard VPN performance of WR1500 is not good. I think the performance 20Mbps is normal of WR1500. We will provide your feedback to our R&D team to optimize this in future.
