The new models deliver substantial improvements in power efficiency, thermal performance, and management capabilities while maintaining full 2.5G multi-gigabit performance for modern home and business networks.
Next-Gen Chipset Significantly Reduces Temperature
At the core of the new HS105 and HS105U is a next-generation chipset designed for significantly lower power consumption and improved operational stability. Compared with the previous-generation HS105, the new model reduces maximum power consumption to just 6W — approximately 42% lower — while operating up to 20°C cooler under heavy load conditions.
The improved power efficiency helps reduce heat accumulation during continuous full-speed operation, enabling more stable 24/7 multi-gigabit connectivity for demanding scenarios such as Wi-Fi 7 access points, NAS systems, gaming setups, surveillance systems, and multi-user streaming environments.
Easy-Managed Features with Cudy Cloud Support
In addition to the hardware upgrade, Cudy has transformed the HS105 from a traditional unmanaged switch into a Cloud Easy-Managed switch. Upcoming firmware support will introduce Cudy Cloud integration, allowing users to manage the switch remotely while preserving the plug-and-play simplicity that many users prefer in desktop networking products.
Alongside the standard HS105, Cudy also introduced the HS105U, a new variant featuring USB-C power input and a redesigned jaguar-inspired chassis. The HS105U is designed for users who prefer a more modern desktop appearance and flexible USB-C powering options for compact workspaces and entertainment setups.

“Now the only thing missing is the same form factor by with POE, I’m searching for a small poe variant of a 2.5G switch with vlan support and there is not a single vendor on the planet that was able to make this form factor with these specs and poe. I know that 2.5G+POE thermals are demanding, but maybe Cudy will be able to achieve it.”
