Update: December 24,2025 Good news!
The OpenWrt forum has merged the pacth which supports the new Flash F50L1G41LC and update the OpenWrt firmware to the version 24.10.5. So if you download the OpenWrt firmware version 24.10.5 or newer version in the future to update the Cudy related models. There will be no problem.
Important Notice: November 24, 2025
Cudy AX3000 series routers manufactured starting in November 2025 (TR3000, SN code start with 2543 or later. 2543 in the SN means the 43th week in the year 2025 ) use the new Flash F50L1G41LC. Upgrading to older versions of OpenWrt intermediate firmware or OpenWrt firmware will prevent the device from booting. Therefore, we will be releasing new firmware updates for these products to add restrictions. If the device is detected to be using the new Flash, it will not be able to upgrade to older firmware versions 2.3.X or earlier. Additionally, previously provided OpenWrt intermediate firmware for older Flash devices will not be compatible.
Affected models include: AP3000 Outdoor 1.0, AP3000 Wall 1.0, M3000 1.0/2.0, TR3000 1.0, WR3000E 1.0, WR3000H 1.0, WR3000S 1.0, and WR3000P 1.0.
Cudy has released the new OpenWrt intermediate firmwares, which have been updated to Google Drive. Please switch to the new intermediate firmware.
Regarding the OpenWrt firmware, we are still waiting for the official OpenWrt forum to release an OpenWrt firmware compatible with the new Flash. Once released, please use the new OpenWrt firmware.
If the SN code is less than 2543. It uses the old flash. There is no such problem.
Warnings
This webpage lists software of devices which support OpenWrt system, before download and install the software, please note that OpenWrt Project is a Linux operating system targeting embedded devices. Instead of trying to create a single, static firmware, OpenWrt provides a fully writable filesystem with package management. This frees you from the application selection and configuration provided by the vendor and allows you to customize the device through the use of packages to suit any application. For developers, OpenWrt is the framework to build an application without having to build a complete firmware around it; for users this means the ability for full customization, to use the device in ways never envisioned.

“Hi all,
I have a Cudy AX 3000 (Model M3000 V2).
Current Stock Firmware 2.5.28-20260807-120317
PLEASE, send me the newest updated Cudy-signed OpenWrt intermediate firmware.
Thanks
Sasa”
@Dear Igor,
1. You router model is WR3000U. So you can’t use the firmware for WR3000.
2. I can find the project of WR3000U on openwrt.org. But for now, it is only snapshot version. I am not sure when will the fial official will be released. You can try to find the proper firmware on your local forum or contact our local support.
“Hello,
I have a Cudy WR3000U-256MB V1.0 router.
SN: S000130126220 EAEU1.0
Current firmware: 2.4.29-20260427-104733
I tried installing official OpenWrt following the standard process:
1. Installed the intermediate firmware cudy_wr3000u-256-v1-sysupgrade.bin from your Google Drive folder — successful.
2. Attempted to flash the official OpenWrt 25.12.5 image for “Cudy WR3000 v1” (device profile cudy,wr3000-v1) from firmware-selector.openwrt.org.
I received this error:
“Device cudy,wr3000u-v1 not supported by this image. Supported devices: cudy,wr3000-v1”
It appears the intermediate firmware identifies my device under a separate profile “cudy,wr3000u-v1” (with a U), while the official OpenWrt image is built for a different profile “cudy,wr3000-v1” (without the U).
Questions:
1. Does my unit’s batch use a different flash memory chip requiring a separate device profile?
2. Is there already a compatible OpenWrt image for the cudy,wr3000u-v1 profile, and where can I download it?
3. If not yet available, when is it expected to be released?
I did not force the flash and safely restored the router to stock firmware via TFTP recovery to avoid damaging the device. The router is currently fully functional on stock firmware.
Thank you for your help."

“Hello Cudy Support,
Could you please provide a signed OpenWrt intermediate/transition firmware for the Cudy LT700E V1.0, board ID R55?
My device is currently running the official firmware:
LT700E-R55-1.90.0-20240322-120922
I would like to migrate safely from the stock Cudy firmware to OpenWrt using the normal firmware upgrade procedure.
I noticed that signed intermediate OpenWrt firmware is available for several other Cudy models, including the LT700 Outdoor V1.0 (R43). However, my device is the LT700E V1.0 (R55), so the R43 firmware is not compatible.
Could you please provide the corresponding signed intermediate firmware for LT700E V1.0 / R55, or let me know if there is another officially supported method to install OpenWrt on this model?
Thank you!"
