@Dear Oli,
Cudy AP1300 can only install mesh system with Cudy product. If the speed is slow, may be there is some limit on the main router. You can try to set it to the Wireless Router mode and check.
“Recently installed an AP1300 in AP mode. Served via CAT 7 ethernet cable attached to the main internet router of the Internet Provider (diffrent brand). DIdn’t realize, that mesh is default while AP mode setup of the cudy. May mesh disturb, i.e. slow down connection of attached devices?”

@Dear Gabriel,
Basically, this is a hardware issue. May be caused by the cable or the router. We can have a compare test. You can choose one of the other two routers, Reset it and set it to be the main mesh router and connect to the same cable to check if it work on 1 Gbps or 100Mbps to judge the root cause.
“Dear Cudy Support,
I recently purchased a Cudy AX3000 Gigabit WiFi 6 Mesh Router along with two additional AX3000 mesh units, all of which support gigabit Ethernet ports.
My internet plan provides 200Mbps, and I am using undamaged Cat 6 Ethernet cables. The main router is connected to one of the mesh nodes via Ethernet. Up until yesterday, everything was working perfectly—I was getting full gigabit speeds through the LAN ports.
However, after rebooting the entire system today, the main router’s Ethernet ports are now only delivering 100Mbps. I’ve confirmed that the cables are properly seated and not damaged, and the same setup was previously delivering full gigabit speeds without issue.
Could you assist in identifying what might have caused this and how to resolve it?
Thank you"

@Dear Walter,
Yes, you can. The Cudy APs, such as the AP3000 and AP1300 can work as the main mesh device to manage other APs. You can set up one of the AP3000 and connect it to the network. Then connect other AP to the network. The mesh system will be installed automatically.
“Can I set up a mesh network using only Cudy AP’s? I have a different brand router so I want to build a mesh network with just the AP’s”
