WISP Mode:
In WISP mode, the router allows multiple users to share the internet connection from WISP. The LAN port devices share the same IP from the WISP via the wireless port in this manner. When connected to WISP, the wireless port functions as a WAN port.
Common network topology:

Step 1: Open a web browser and go to http://cudy.net or http://192.168.10.1.
For details, please refer to How to log into the web interface of Cudy Router?
Step 2: The Quick Setup window will pop up, choose "WISP", then go "Next".

Step 3: Choose your "Time Zone".

Step 4: Select the host network you want to extend. Click on 'Connect'.

Or click on General Settings->WISP->Enable and then select the host network you want to extend.

Step 5: Enter the host network's wireless password.

Note: Make sure the wireless password you type in is correct, otherwise, the configuration cannot success.
Step 6: Customize the wireless network name and password or keep them default.

Step 7: Click "Save & Apply" to complete the configuration.

Step 8: Wait a few seconds for the system rebooting, when the login page pops up again, you can enjoy the internet.

I recently purchased the Cudy WR6500 as an upgrade to my older Cudy WR3000. My original plan was to use the new WR6500 as my main router and repurpose the WR3000 as a Mesh node to extend my network coverage.
However, I ran into a major issue: the WISP mode is missing in the WR6500 settings, whereas it works perfectly fine on the older WR3000.
Because the WR6500 lacks WISP support, I am currently forced to use it only as a Mesh extension instead of the main router, which completely degrades its performance and defeats the purpose of the upgrade.
Could the support team or anyone here provide me with a firmware version for the WR6500 that includes the WISP functionality?

I have the 4GvLTE N300 V3.0
I’ve got firmware 2.5.12 installed, but still no WISP
Could you send me the firmware that allows for Wisp please. I’m happy to test it if it’s Beta.
Hi, can I use the wr1200 to feed wired internet into my lan from a starlink mini wifi router. I would like to not have a wire from the starlink into my existing lan which covers 4 floors of a concrete building. Is this compatible.
Thank you.
@Dear Paulo Ruben Brás Ferreira,
Yes, the AX1500 models will support WISP function if you update it to the latest firmware version. You can download the firmware via the link below.
