@Dear Arnab,
Is your existing router a Cudy router which support Cudy mesh function? If yes, you can install mesh system with a new M1200 and your existing Cudy router via both Wired or Wireless backhaul. If not Cudy router, you can’t install mesh system with them. But you can connect the M1200 to your existing router via cable. You can also set the M1200 to WISP or Range Extender mode to connect to your existing router via Wi-Fi.

“Hello!
If I get an M1200 and want to set it up as an access point to my existing router, do I need to keep it connected to my existing router via LAN? Or I can set it up in a separate room from where my existing router is and it will act as a mesh?”

@Dear Kpe4eT,
Sorry for replying so late due to the Chinese Spring Festival!
LT700 only can work as the main mesh router. So you can’t install the mesh system with two LT700. If you want to make the second LT700 working as an access point. Please follow the steps:
1. Login to the web page of the second LT700. Go to “Advanced Settings” —“LAN” function page. Change the IP address to another one in case conflict with the first LT700. Such as 192.168.10.2. Then you must login to the web page via the new IP address.

2. Disable the DHCP Server of the second LT700 on “Advanced Settings” —“DHCP Server” function page.

3. Connect the second LT700’s LAN port to the first LT700’s LAN port .
The second LT700 will work as an Access Point.

“Good afternoon. I have purchased two Cudy LT700 devices. I am having trouble adding them to mesh network. When I scan, they do not see each other. I have tried to switch one of them to AP mode, but there is no such option in the menu. The Wizard does not have an “operating mode” option.
When trying to connect via an Android app, it gives the error “-2 Network Error””

@Dear Kala,
Please run the quick setup wizard. Then you can choose the working mode.

“Just downloaded the app and it does not have “mode” option.
How to connect as extender?”
