OpenWrt Software Download

Important Notice:  November 24, 2025

Cudy AX3000 series routers manufactured starting in November 2025 (TR3000, SN code start with 2543 or later. 2543 in the SN means the 43th week in the year 2025 ) use the new Flash F50L1G41LC.  Upgrading to older versions of OpenWrt intermediate firmware or OpenWrt firmware will prevent the device from booting. Therefore, we will be releasing new firmware updates for these products to add restrictions. If the device is detected to be using the new Flash, it will not be able to upgrade to older firmware versions 2.3.X or earlier. Additionally, previously provided OpenWrt intermediate firmware for older Flash devices will not be compatible.

Affected models include: AP3000 Outdoor 1.0, AP3000 Wall 1.0, M3000 1.0/2.0, TR3000 1.0, WR3000E 1.0, WR3000H 1.0, WR3000S 1.0, and WR3000P 1.0.

Cudy has released the new OpenWrt intermediate firmwares, which have been updated to Google Drive. Please switch to the new intermediate firmware.

Regarding the OpenWrt firmware, we are still waiting for the official OpenWrt forum to release an OpenWrt firmware compatible with the new Flash. Once released, please use the new OpenWrt firmware.

If the SN code is less than 2543. It uses the old flash. There is no such problem.

Warnings

This webpage lists software of devices which support OpenWrt system, before download and install the software, please note that OpenWrt Project is a Linux operating system targeting embedded devices. Instead of trying to create a single, static firmware, OpenWrt provides a fully writable filesystem with package management. This frees you from the application selection and configuration provided by the vendor and allows you to customize the device through the use of packages to suit any application. For developers, OpenWrt is the framework to build an application without having to build a complete firmware around it; for users this means the ability for full customization, to use the device in ways never envisioned.

Dear Cudy Team,
Thank you for the recent OpenWrt notice regarding the new Flash chip compatibility (SN 2543+). This information confirms the complexity of flashing your routers.
I am writing to urgently request public confirmation that your R&D team is integrating a fix for a severe and proven performance bug in the WR3000S (V1.0) Firmware 2.4.6. My support case, which includes the requested Diagnosis Bin File, has gone unanswered.
The Critical Issue:
Problem: When the 5GHz band is set to 80MHz Channel Width and 802.11ax mode, the download speed drops drastically to ~3.89 Mbps (I have provided all technical proof to support).
Technical Root Cause: This is a confirmed driver-level issue, specifically the RRM (Radio Resource Management) bug: kern.err kernel: [ 3964.022354] 7981@C00L1,RRM_PeerNeighborReqAction() 846: snprintf error!
Since you are already developing a mandatory new firmware update to handle the new hardware restrictions (as per your notice), please confirm that the fix for this critical RRM performance bug will be integrated into that very next official firmware release for the WR3000S.
The router is currently unusable in its high-speed advertised mode due to this persistent bug. Please provide a clear timeline (ETA) for the official patch.

Subject: Request for a Signed Stable Release of OpenWrt Firmware for Cudy TR3000 (256MB Flash)

Dear Cudy OpenWrt Team,

I recently purchased a Cudy TR3000 device with 256MB of flash. The transitional OpenWrt firmware I downloaded from Google Drive turned out to be a snapshot build:

Firmware Version: OpenWrt 23.05-SNAPSHOT r23001+886-38c150612c / LuCI openwrt-23.05 branch git-24.148.43905-2891ca4 Kernel Version: 5.15.158

Because this is a snapshot version, I am unable to install the appropriate `kmod-mtd-rw` package. As a result, I cannot proceed with the steps described in the official guide: [https://openwrt.org/toh/cudy/tr3000](https://openwrt.org/toh/cudy/tr3000).

Could you please provide a signed, stable release of the OpenWrt firmware suitable for the Cudy TR3000 (256MB flash version)?

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,

Shai Ayal

Hello, the new Cudy WR3000h has a new memory chip. When I update the firmware to OpenWRT, the router stops turning on. Could you tell me where I can download a new version of OpenWRT for this router? Thanks in advance!

Ayrat

@Dear Arifin,
The OpenWrt firmware is not developed by Cudy but by the developers. We need the OpenWrt forum official support the router at first, then we can release a middle firmware for you, then you can use and upgrade to the OpenWrt firmware.

“Can you guys release official OpenWRT support for CUDY WR 11000 router so I can use it my Cudy WR 11000 I will great full if guys do it for us.”
