How to set up Guest Network on the Cudy router?

This article will guide you to open an extra Wi-Fi for your guests. It will only provide an internet connection and separately from the main network. For example, when you connect to the guest network, the device cannot access the local network, unable to log into the web interface, etc.

Note: Guest Network doesn't available in Access Point Mode.

Step 1: Open a web browser and go to http://cudy.net or http://192.168.10.1.

For details, please refer to How to log into the web interface of Cudy Router?

Step 2: Go to Advanced Settings->Guest Network.

Step 3: Create a 2.4GHz or 5GHz guest network according to your needs.

The default guest network is an open Wi-Fi named 'Cudy-Guest-2.4G' or 'Cudy-Guest-5G'.

Step 4: Set Encryption to WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK Mixed Mode, then set an easy-to-remember password.

Step 5: 'Save & Apply' the settings. Now you can access your guest network using the SSID and password you set.

Don't enable Hidden Network unless you want to manually input this SSID for Wi-Fi access.

@Dear Carlos,
What is the model are you talking about? Cudy routers don’t support this function. Cudy APs can support this.

@Dear Mazen,

Would you please tell me both of the firmware version of your WR6500 and RE1500?
In addition, How do you install mesh with them? Via ethernet cable or Wi-Fi? I will test it according to your feedback.

“having wr6500 and re1500 configured as mesh. guest network is enabled and working when client connects to the wr6500 but when client are near the re1500 they see the guest network and they connect but there’s no internet. i tried all the settings but nothing worked. both devices are on the latest firmware.”
