OpenWrt Software Download

Important Notice:  November 24, 2025

Cudy AX3000 series routers manufactured starting in November 2025 (TR3000, SN code start with 2543 or later. 2543 in the SN means the 43th week in the year 2025 ) use the new Flash F50L1G41LC.  Upgrading to older versions of OpenWrt intermediate firmware or OpenWrt firmware will prevent the device from booting. Therefore, we will be releasing new firmware updates for these products to add restrictions. If the device is detected to be using the new Flash, it will not be able to upgrade to older firmware versions 2.3.X or earlier. Additionally, previously provided OpenWrt intermediate firmware for older Flash devices will not be compatible.

Affected models include: AP3000 Outdoor 1.0, AP3000 Wall 1.0, M3000 1.0/2.0, TR3000 1.0, WR3000E 1.0, WR3000H 1.0, WR3000S 1.0, and WR3000P 1.0.

Cudy has released the new OpenWrt intermediate firmwares, which have been updated to Google Drive. Please switch to the new intermediate firmware.

Regarding the OpenWrt firmware, we are still waiting for the official OpenWrt forum to release an OpenWrt firmware compatible with the new Flash. Once released, please use the new OpenWrt firmware.

If the SN code is less than 2543. It uses the old flash. There is no such problem.

Warnings

This webpage lists software of devices which support OpenWrt system, before download and install the software, please note that OpenWrt Project is a Linux operating system targeting embedded devices. Instead of trying to create a single, static firmware, OpenWrt provides a fully writable filesystem with package management. This frees you from the application selection and configuration provided by the vendor and allows you to customize the device through the use of packages to suit any application. For developers, OpenWrt is the framework to build an application without having to build a complete firmware around it; for users this means the ability for full customization, to use the device in ways never envisioned.

Hi Team
Thanks for uploading the intermediate firmware for the new Flash. I found the last modified date of “cudy_tr3000-256mb-v1-sysupgrade.bin” is May 21st 2025. So is Cudy TR3000 256mb(SN code 2543 or later) don’t have any intermediate firmware to upgrade? Or can I use the latest “TR3000 V1_20251118.zip” to upgrade it?
Thank you.

Comment Subject: URGENT: Please Confirm RRM Performance Bug Fix Included in Next WR3000S Firmware

Comment Body:
Thank you for the detailed notice regarding the new Flash chip compatibility (SN 2543+). This is a critical update for the community.
I would like to urgently request confirmation that your R&D team is also integrating a fix for a severe performance bug currently present in the WR3000S (V1.0) Firmware 2.4.6.
The Issue: When the 5GHz band is set to 80MHz Channel Width and 802.11ax mode, the download speed drops drastically to ~3.89 Mbps (verified with attached diagnosis file sent to support).
Technical Proof (Syslog): This is confirmed to be a driver-level issue, specifically the RRM (Radio Resource Management) bug: kern.err kernel: [ 3964.022354] 7981@C00L1,RRM_PeerNeighborReqAction() 846: snprintf error!
Since you are already releasing mandatory updates for the new hardware, please confirm that the fix for this RRM performance bug will be integrated into the very next official firmware release for the WR3000S. The router is unusable in its high-speed advertised mode due to this bug.
Thank you.

@Dear ZJ,
Yes, you are right. But some developers can merge the patch when they build the OpenWrt firmware. Some developers have already done this. But we still need to wait the OpenWrt firmware to merge the patch in the project and build new nature OpenWrt firmware if you use the nature OpenWrt firmware downloaded from OpenWrt forum website.

“Hi team,
I noticed the announcement that the TR3000 with the flash F50L1G41LC cannot flash the old intermediate firmware.
Does this mean, even though I use the intermediate firmware you provided, I still cannot flash the offical openwrt as the openwrt has not supported this new flash yet?
Br,
ZJ”

@Dear Rain,
Sorry, for now, there is no OpenWrt firmware for GP3000 V1. The OpenWrt firmware is not developed by Cudy but by the developers. We need the OpenWrt forum official support the router at first, then we can release a middle firmware for you, then you can use and upgrade to the OpenWrt firmware.
