1. Download and unzip the file from here.

2. Download the latest firmware from the official website and rename it to 'recovery.bin'. Note: You must put it in the same file of Tftpd tools.

3. Power off your Router. Unplug the power adapter or press the POWER button.
4. Connect your computer the Router's LAN port with an Ethernet cable.
5. Configure your computer's IP address to be '192.168.1.88' manually.

6. Run 'tftp32.exe'.
7. Run 'netsh advfirewall set allprofiles state off' in the command line to disable Windows firewall, otherwise tftp will be blocked. Or you can disable the firewall on the Control Panel of your computer. As shown below.

8. Press the 'Reset' button/hole and hold it. Before the Router is powered on and before tftp start to download the firmware, don't release the 'Reset' button/hole.
9. Power on the Router.
10. When the Lights are all flashing fast, or when tftp start to download the firmware, you can release the 'Reset' button/hole.

11. When the light flashes slowly, the upgrade is complete.
12. Please recover your computer's IP address to be dynamic IP.
13. Done.

Hello , i have a CudyWR3000 and i wish to put it in recovery mode so that i can tftp my way into openwrt , the issue is , i can not put in recovery mode , i have tried holding the reset button while its unplugged and then plug it back in and keep holding for 12 seconds , at times even longer and no matter what i do , i do not get a rapidly blinking light indicating recovery mode , all i get is a steady power led and the internet led slowly blinking ( mind you when its in that mode which is not recovery no other light is on , just those two) . I thought that perhaps its recovery mode and i am missing something , i went on with the process the same way i would with it being in recovery , no matter how many times i tried or changes i made tcpdump indicated no request coming from the router .
He tenido que volver a las versión del Firmware original, ya que en Openwrt al configurar la Wifi 5G en ancho de banda 160 mhz, desparece y no se puede conectar. He hecho muchas pruebas y es cambiarlo a 80 mhz y si funciona. Este problema con el firm de Cudy no pasa. Se queda configurado en 160mhz y todo normal.
@Dear MD RAKIBUL ISLAM,
Yes, you can do it. This method also can recover the broken firmware issue.
“Hi Cudy, Can I follow all of these step to unbrick my Cudy WR1200 V2 which will be bricked due to sudden load shedding during firmware update 🙂? Please help”

@Dear Alan,
Please check if your use the correct firmware. You must use the firmware for TR3000 256MB, which the firmware version on Cudy official website is 2.3.9. Then you can follow the steps as the instruction.
“I am confident that it is the 256MB version because I purchased it from China, and the box, router, label, etc., all indicate “256MB.” However, when I opened the router, I discovered that the chip memory is ESMT F50L1G41LB only 128MB. You can check my post here: [https://www.right.com.cn/forum/thread-8441740-1-1.html] for a screenshot. I also sent this information to sales@cudy.com but haven’t received a reply.”
