Cudy LTE router has LAN/WAN port, so we can alter the port working mode and use a 4G/5G network as the backup solution for internet access. When the LAN/WAN port works as WAN mode, the router will connect to the 4/5G network if the original network service fails.
Common network topology:

Step 1: Make sure the 4/5G network already setup successfully.
Step 2: Open a web browser and go to http://cudy.net or http://192.168.10.1.
For details, please refer to How to log into the web interface of Cudy Router?
Step 3: Go to Advanced Settings->LAN/WAN Switch.

Step 4: Click 'Switch to WAN', then the router will reboot and apply the settings.
Step 5: Connect your router’s LAN/WAN port to the modem or the network port.
Note: Please ensure you already have a modem or your internet is from an Ethernet outlet which provides the internet for you.
Step 6: When the configuration is finished, you will see the status below in System Status page.

Hallo,
ich habe das gleiche Problem wie hier am 02.08.2025 geschildert:
“Hello I have internet being fed from another router (“Network A”) to my Cudy LTE Modem/Router (“Network B”). If Network A loses internet but is still working as a network (just no internet). The Cudy LTE failover does not kick in because it does not realize the internet is down. I tried changing the online detection settings but that did not work.”
@Dear H,
Our technical support has contacted you via email. Please check.

@Dear Molon,
The function depends on the “Advanced Setting” —“Online Check” function. Did you disable it. If yes, please enable it.
“Hello, first my cuddy Lte n300 working well on 4g. My point is I configure WAN, and when I put my câble, the router switch on WAN/4G. Until now everything is working as expected but if my main router has a connectivity issue, the cuddy router still continu to work on WAN whereas there is no more connectivity. So I don’t see the automatic switch on 4G”
